Let us discuss about the South Indian upcoming films having huge potential of collecting 1000+ crores at the box office worldwide. The Cinema of South India is used to refer collectively the four distinct film industries of Southern region of India – Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada film industries as a single unit.
According to the recent report, the south Indian film market continues to dominate the regional language film market in the country with Tamil and Telugu being the largest language markets.
The industry is regulated by the South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce. After the films of South Indian cinemas which has created buzz even among Bollywood audiences like KGF Chapter 1 and KGF Chapter 2, RRR, Pushpa, there are some more major films which are getting ready to hit the theatres with huge amount of budget.
Firstly “Salaar”, which is produced under Hombale Films, and directed by the famous Prashanth Neel after his success his both series of KGF. The south industry megastar Prabhas is currently filming for Prashanth Neel’s film ‘Salaar’, who is casting in the lead role.
Few announcements about the film have been made public recently with its teaser has ben released in May, which has made the curiosity and excitement among the audience. The theatrical release of this film would be in 2023. Next is “Adipurush”, again the superstar Prabhas is going to star in this film.
He will be doing the role of Lord Ram in Om Raut’s next project Adipurush. Kriti Sanon & Saif Ali Khan will also feature in the role of Janaki & Lankesh respectively. Adipurush will be bankrolled by Bhushan Kumar along with Krishan Kumar and Om Raut.
Reportedly in Nov 2021, films shooting has been completed, and further, after the completion of post-production work. And there is some chances of the film getting released by August 2022.
The major hit to the industry given by the film, Pushpa: The Rise, there is some more expectations from the upcoming sequel called “Pushpa: The Rule”. However, the pan-Indian movie had a massive blockbuster across India, propelling Telugu superstar Allu Arjun into a nationwide superstar.
The success has raised the excitement of ‘Pushpa: The Rule’. Directed by Sukumar, this is amongst the best upcoming pan-Indian movies of 2023. The team will soon begin the shooting for the sequel.
Simultaneously in both Hindi and Telugu languages “Liger” film is going to helmed by the director Puri Jagannadh, who is a known director of south. South Indian superstar actor Vijay Devarakonda will be seen in the film as a Kick Boxer.
The film also stars Ananya Panday, Ronit Roy, and Ramya Krishnan. But according to the reports they have given Jhanvi Kapoor as first prominence, but due to her date issues, she was replaced by Ananya Panday. “Project K” is going to take next place in the list of high budget films of South. Focussing on the struggle for survival in an apocalyptic world, the film is directed by Nag Ashwin, starring Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Amitabh Bachchan in the leading roles is one of the most awaited films in Indian cinema.
It seems to be the team has completed its first few schedules with the Bollywood stars and with the actor of Baahubali. An Action Thriller movie casted by the Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja who is going to be star on the big screen waited from so long time.
“Ramarao On Duty” was scheduled to release on 25 March, but later makers pushed back the release date to 17 June 2022 owing to Rajamouli’s big-ticket film RRR. Also Jai Bhim actress Rajisha Vijayan will be seen in the lead actress role opposite Ravi Teja.

The film is gambled as socio-political actioner, the plot revolves around a middle-aged Naxalite-turned-social reformer who launches a fight against the Endowments Department over the misappropriation of temple funds and donations.
After the highest Tamil Grosser of the year in 2021 named, Vakeel Saab, Pawan Kalyan is giving a new period-action adventurous film called “Hari Hara Veera Mallu” in the year 2022. It is going to be a Pan Indian film, featuring Niddhi Agerwal, Arjun Rampal, and Jacqueline Fernandez. The film is helmed by the director of Gabbar is back movie, Krish Jagarlamudi.

Kiccha Sudeep will next be casted in Anup Bhandari’s directorial, which is also a screenplay written by Anup Bhandari. This big-ticket film is backed by Shalini Jack Manju and Alankar Pandian under the banner of Zee Studios and Kiccha Creations. Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez will also be casted in the main role of the film.
