Karan Kumar Johar, with the born name Rahul Kumar Johar, who is an Indian filmmaker and television personality, who works as the most part in Hindi cinema. Son of producer Yash Johar, he made his directorial debut with the romantic comedy-drama Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998), which earned him the National Film Award for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment, the Filmfare Award for Best Director and the Filmfare Award for Best Screenplay.
He is the recipient of National Film Award and six Filmfare Awards, and he has been honoured with Padma Shri, by the Government of India in 2020. He has launched the careers of several successful actors under his own Dharma Productions.
Karan celebrated his 50th birthday with a lively party at his house on Wednesday night. The main celebrities who was the attendees for the party were Gauri Khan, Manish Malhotra, Shweta Bachchan Nanda, Ayan Mukerji, Farah Khan, Apoorva Mehta, Maheep Kapoor and others.

Karan Johar is celebrating his 50th birthday and Kareena Kapoor Khan has shared an old picture to wish him. She also shared a note for Karan and revealed celebration plans with him by captioning her post as “I don’t know are we pouting? Sucking our cheeks in? Well, what the hell. It’s us. You and me. As it was a themed party, held at Yash Raj Studios, Mumbai. Invitation has been sent to selected celebrities who have attended his day. It was a Black and Bling theme, meanwhile the filmmakers have already made a wish on social media.
The video of his birthday celebration have been shared online. Farah Khan has shared an online video of the party of Karan by making his naughty jokes, entered posing inside his massive walk-in closet.
Karan asked “You want to come inside my closet?”, where Farah replied back, “You want to come out of your closet?”, and again Karan said, “Been there, done that.”
On the other hand Manish Malhotra’s video of Karan’s party shown the grand dinner table adorned with silver cultery, white flowers, and elaborate candlestands, showing off the opulent decor.
He wrote “The most beautiful setting tonight,” by tagging Karan by captioning as ‘Birthday Boy’, where the backdrop was a view of the Mumbai Skyline.
Mahdeep, who shared the tree-tier birtday cake of Karan’s birthday and also the menu for the dinner which includes lamb shanks, roast chicken and spinach and tofu salad.
Karan has made his 50th birthday memorable, by celebrating that eve also with Dhawan, Kiara Advani, Siddharth Malhotra and Katrina Kaif as well as Ananya Panday, Janhvi Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan, who has been seen bringing their most fashionable game to the party.
From down South, actors Rashmika Mandana and Vijay Deverakonda have confirmed to attend the bash. Much like his films, Karan will be bringing in his 50th birthday in midst of grand sets and glamour.
In fact, the filmmaker has got Amrita Mahal, who has worked on creating the sets of films like Kalank, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and the soon to be released Brahmastra and Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, to design the entire set-up for the birthday bash.
